To celebrate International Hot Dog Day in July, Luna Park is hosting its 6th annual Hot Dog Eating Competition on Saturday 20 July. Join us for a fun day packed full of rides, entertainment and live music!
- ‘Hot dog, park admission plus 3 rides’ special offer
- Eating Comp contestants must be pre-approved
- Women’s event
- Men’s event
- Rockabilly band – The Atomic Hi-Tones
- Spectators: $5 (4 years and older)
Hot dog day 2019
Pay the $5 entry fee to Luna Park and enter the world of Hot Dogs galore, attractions to ride, play, excite and thrill, plus music and entertainment and soooo much more.
The main feature of the day pulling in the large crowds is Luna Park’s annual Hot Dog Eating Competition. Make sure to get to the 6th edition of this famous eating competition and witness some of the biggest names in the competitive eating world. They’ll be gobbling down more hot dogs and buns than you’ll ever see one person eat in a lifetime!
Billy Boyd, founder of the Australian Competitive Easters will be your MC for the day introducing the competitors, working the crowd into a pre-kick-off frenzy and announcing the winners of the men’s and women’s events. Each winner will receive $500 cash, a Luna Park Annual Pass and Top Dog Trophy.
How to register
If you want to take part in this prestigious competition, please make sure to register using the form below by 12 July!
Our competitors are divided into groups of 10 males and 10 females who have just 10 minutes to stuff down as many hot dogs and buns as possible.
Make sure to get to Luna Park to either partake or spectate and get amongst this quirky world of competitive eating! You’ll be a silly sausage to miss out on the event of the year!
