Seasonal feature rides and unlimited fun!
Leave the winter chill behind and ‘spring’ into Luna Park these September school holidays for the ultimate carnival experience! With three new rides, spring will be carnival-tastic if you spend it at Luna Park!
OPEN: 23 September – 8 October, 2017
Throughout the entire spring break, from 23rd September – 8th October, Melbourne’s most iconic amusement park will be the ultimate destination for endless fun, thrills and carnival entertainment!
Following a winter under wraps, the famous Scenic Railway is back, in time for the spring school holidays! The 105-year-old rollercoaster will be the focus of the carnival fun, providing thrills and delighting riders with heart-pumping dips and turns as it speeds around the Park. Breathe in the fresh spring air and enjoy the incredible view of Port Phillip Bay on Melbourne’s most loved roller-coaster!
Luna Park’s CEO, Mary Stuart, says they’re thrilled to be re-opening the Scenic Railway for the spring school holidays.
“With the Scenic Railway back, providing thrills for all the family to enjoy, we know that Luna Park is the place to be these spring school holidays. Since the start of this year’s restoration works, we’ve issued around 22,000 Scenic Railway ‘return to ride’ tickets to guests, so we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to experience this remarkable ride again.
Just as exhilarating as it was when it opened in 1912, the Scenic Railway is the oldest operating wooden roller coaster of its kind in the world.”
Kids will forever be entertained in the bustling carnival zone where they can enjoy three new spring-tastic rides, including a mini Ferris Wheel, Fantasy Flyer and Fantasy Cups.
Also included in the Unlimited Ride Ticket, there’s no limit on the fun that can be had on these rides!
In the lead-up to the release of the new ‘The Emoji Movie’ on 14th September, Luna Park will also be giving 150 lucky families a free pass to be first to see the movie when they purchase a Luna Park Family Pass online!
Meet and mingle with ‘Gene’ and ‘Lips’ from ‘The Emoji Movie’ every Saturday from 12-3pm throughout the school holidays – their friendly faces will be sure to put a spring in your step! There will also be heaps of prizes up for grabs, including ‘The Emoji Movie’ merchandise at the ‘Hot Shots’ basketball game.
Don’t forget to upload your fun snaps and videos to Luna Live, Luna Park’s social media channel, using the #lunalive.
